ACIG Launches 5 Policy Briefs to Strengthen Ghana’s Creative Industries

A key outcome of the ACIG project is the development of five policy briefs, each offering research-based recommendations for Ghana’s creative subsectors: music, fashion, visual arts & crafts, theatre, and film. The briefs build on research undertaken throughout the project period.

To ensure the recommendations were both relevant and practical, ACIG organized a final stakeholder workshop that brought together representatives from public and private organizations supporting Ghana’s creative industries. During the session, ACIG researchers presented their main findings and shared draft policy briefs summarizing key recommendations for each subsector.

Participants engaged in break-out group discussions, providing constructive feedback that reflected diverse perspectives and real-world considerations. These insights were then integrated into the final policy briefs, making them a genuine product of co-creation between researchers and stakeholders.

The resulting briefs not only reflect rigorous research but also provide actionable pathways to foster innovation, sustainability, and growth across Ghana’s vibrant creative economy.
